LCUC CIO Team Appoints Trevor Beaton as Executive Director

The LCUC CIO team is pleased to announce that Trevor Beaton has been selected to serve as the new Executive Director of the Large Credit Union Coalition (LCUC) CIO Team.

Following a national recruitment process, the committee reviewed a strong field of candidates and completed a rigorous selection process. Throughout the process, Trevor consistently distinguished himself through his leadership experience, strategic perspective, collaborative approach, and deep understanding of the Canadian credit union system.

Trevor brings more than two decades of credit union experience and most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Synergy Credit Union. His career has spanned leadership roles in technology, innovation, strategy, people leadership, and executive management, providing him with a unique and well-rounded perspective on the opportunities and challenges facing credit unions today.

Trevor has the ability to bring people together around shared goals, create influence through engagement, and translate strategic discussion into meaningful action. His thoughtful leadership style, strong facilitation skills, and extensive network across the credit union system position him well to support the continued growth and impact of the LCUC.

As Executive Director, Trevor will work closely with LCUC leaders to strengthen collaboration, advance strategic initiatives, support coalition development, elevate the voice of Canadian credit unions, and help translate the collective priorities of member organizations into tangible outcomes. The role will also support greater alignment between the LCUC CIO and CEO leadership groups as the coalition continues to evolve.
